I want you to live like nothing else matters more than knowing what is on My heart right now. Live like right here in this present moment with Me is all you have…because, in reality it is!
People have forgotten how to be still and know that I am God, therefore I cannot truly be their God until they let go of themselves and learn the art of resting in Me again. It’s really about learning to stop developing the world you are creating for yourself and allowing Me to develop the world I have planned for you.
Which is more important to you, allowing Me to make My promises come to life? Or to watch the world you envision for yourself get built up? Yes, that’s right. Your kingdom will get erected as you live upon the earth but it will never be the level of greatness that I have planned for you. Your world will look good, pleasing to the eyes and mind, eventually even making it to your heart. Then, at that point, it’s all you know. Your world becomes the best it can be, in accordance with your learned standards of living.
This is what happened with the Tower of Babel.
People thought they could reach where I am and join their physical kingdom to My physical kingdom. They lived as though they could build their world up by doing what seemed right to the mind and heart. They lost sight of doing what pleased Me and lived for what appealed to the senses. Pride is the inevitable product of living apart from Me. You’re either prideful and sliding toward depression, losing sight of what truly matters, or you’re prideful and gaining worldly knowledge and possessions that also cause you to lose sight of what truly matters. Both are pride.
When you don’t take the time to stop and listen for what I have to show you, you are choosing pride and attempting to build your self-made kingdom to join Mine.
Can you see how it’s no different than Babel?
You eventually become the world you live in, unless I am the world you live in. You must make your life by making Me your life. Live inside Me and become more like your heavenly Father. Most will never see Me for who I truly am because pride blocks them from ever being quiet enough to listen for My whisper. Pride slowly eats away at the fabric of your life, until there’s nothing left to show for years of doing things your own way.
True faith is this: doing nothing without Me. Faith cannot be present in the midst of pride, at least not the type of faith that allows you to be drawn nearer to Me. Faith is a complete loss of doing things your own way or doing things your own way in My name.
